Meet Jesus

Throughout the Old Testament we read about the relationships God had with His people, as He sought them out and consistently pulled them back to Him. There has never been a time that our creator, Our God, has not been consistent with His love while still maintaining the sovereignty, and holiness of who He is. Part of that goodness is that He is just and fair and can not allow sin. 

The wages of sin is death. Prophesy spoke of God sending a Savior, the Messiah. 

Who is this? Even the winds and waves obey his command. 

Matthew 8:27

Maybe you are asking that too. Who is this Jesus?

Perhaps you have never heard much about Him. Or maybe you have heard about Him throughout your life but only heard with your ears. We want more than anything for Jesus to be more than just a story to you. We want you to experience a real relationship with Him as He draws you to Him and begins to change you. 

We know that with Jesus, you are never the same because we have experienced it ourselves. If you have found yourself on this page by whatever means, know that we have prayed for you and your journey in discovering who Jesus is.

The first four books of The New Testament: known as The Gospels helps us to confront the questions of ‘Who is Jesus?’ , ‘What did he accomplish?’  The Gospel of Matthew shows us Jesus as King. The Gospel of Mark shows Jesus coming as a servant of man. The Gospel of Luke shows Jesus offering Salvation to all. The Gospel of John seeks to clear up Who Christ is and His position within the Godhead.  As you read these 4 books of the Bible, the life and words of Jesus more than answer these questions. He is the Christ, the prophesied Messiah, the son of God, the incarnation of God in human flesh. 

The Bible tells of the relationships Jesus had with people as He taught , healed and redeemed. He showed his sovereignty over creation and even death as He proved that it was all under submission to Him, while commanding weather and even raising people from the dead. He sought out people at their lowest and loved them while helping them understand where they were in rebellion to their creator. He had a mission of redeeming from sin and it’s punishment those who wanted to be changed and follow Him, thus restoring the relationship with God that we are created to have. 

He repeatedly showed the perfect example of submission and love while fulfilling numerous prophesies delivered by prophets of God hundreds of years before His birth on earth. When we were powerless to help ourselves, Jesus purchased our freedom from the bondage of sin by His death on the cross. He then rose from the grave three days later finalizing His mission of redemption and proving His identity. 

His call remains the same to our hearts today , as it did when He walked the Earth making disciples: Deny yourself and take up your cross and follow Him.
